DREAM NAILS have released a festive new single, ‘Lonely Star (Christmas Song)’. The single was released through Alcopop! Records.
Speaking of the new single, guitarist Anya Pearson said: “This Christmas is going to be a bit different from the usual, so we wrote a Christmas song that sends strength and love to anyone finding this time of year particularly tough – especially those who are LGBT or struggling with acceptance and support at home. We see you, we’re here for you and we love you!!!“
Bassist Mimi Jasson added: “With government failures to respond to the pandemic adequately, we feel strongly about raising money for The Outside Project, the UK’s first LGBTIQ+ Crisis/Homeless Shelter & Community Centre – proceeds from this release will go to them.“
Proceeds from ‘Lonely Star (Christmas Song)’ on the band’s Bandcamp will be donated to The Outside Project; an organisation that are dedicated to helping the homeless during the winter months. They released a statement: “Our shelter and refuge will remain open over Christmas while the majority of homelessness services are shut down. We wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of our community, friends, family and allies. We’re thrilled that Dream Nails have chosen us as beneficiaries of their Christmas single, we couldn’t have hoped for a better Christmas anthem this year!“
