There’s something about pop punk that sometimes makes it come and go, but for American outfit, Aim High, and with their forthcoming record, Local Band Forever, already have seen support from the likes of BROADSIDE, FOUR YEAR STRONG, COUNTERPARTS, and more, it seems that the future of pop punk is here to stay.

Having previously released two singles from the forthcoming record, we’re stoked to be premiering their new single, Gender Neutral Happy Meal, and when you also hear how big these hooks are you’ll understand why.

““Gender Neutral Happy Meal” is a day in the life of an introvert. Feeling like you are stuck in an expressive rut; like any social or romantic signals are flying over your head, and you can’t find a way to properly express yourself(even to the people you cherish).” Explain the band. “The “Happy Meal” is the metaphorical gift of realizing what is happening and taking action to not let your introvertive ways get in the way of communication, overall happiness and success.”

With the likes of Brendan Murphy (Counterparts) and Dan O’Connor (Four Year Strong) having featured on the record, the unique project looks at bringing everyone back to when music was more simple, when it was something that the local bands played. With the newest single, the band have brought in a new barrage in the form of BELMONT‘s Taz Johnson, alongside rising band SAFEHOLD.

“Belmont is one of our favorite pop-punk bands, and we were super blessed to work with them. Safehold is also in the up-and-coming pop-punk band Wilmette, who we also absolutely adore and admire.” Explains the band. “Getting a chance to work with both of them was amazing and humbling. Its always dope to get to collaborate with other artists in the scene, but when its with some of your personal inspirations, it just hits different. Blessed & Humbled are the 2 words that come to mind.”
