WORDS : LUCA CESCON

San Jose’s very own act Sunami might sound as a new name to European hardcore listeners, but this band is going to grab the sceptre of heavy music in the coming months. The band has recently teamed up with the almighty Triple B Records – which recently brought to us incredible masterpieces such as A Truth We Still Believe from Ecostrike and Swingin Swords, Chopping Lords from Mindforce – for the release of new music.

This band is already one of the hardest acts in the modern US underground scene

Sunami has already released a couple of records, but the small amount of tracks they put out is not comparable to the extremely high energy of their live shows. This band is already one of the hardest acts in the modern US underground scene and you’d better check some of their live footage out to understand why the hype for brand new material is real.

They do not add anything specific to the metallic hardcore features that we all know very well, but their approach to music goes harder and harder with every song compared to some other outfits playing the same genre.

Sunami have the right credentials to shine in the hardcore scene, so keep your eyes peeled and keep your pair of Nike ready to mosh as soon as Sunami are back

By signing with Triple B Records we should expect some new tunes in the near future, hopefully a full length which will surely skyrocket the band to a new level.
