FROM: LONDON | FOR FANS OF: LIZZY FARRALL , THE 1975

There’s a lot to be said about the UK pop artist that is Walwin. Having found his fame through originally playing in pop punk, much like this month’s cover artist Lizzy Farrall, Walwin is once more an artist to join her on the forefront of breaking down genres, and on the push to make sure pop ain’t such a dirty word.

Having released his first single in over 2 years, the new single,  Calgary steps away from Walwin’s usual sound, and explores the depths of EDM, with Walwin commenting,

“This is my first solo release in over two years (after doing collabs with Alex Martura & Kidneko) and is a return to my emo pop roots that I stepped away from to experiment with EDM.”

Having self produced, filmed and edited the single’s video, which we’re exclusively premiering below, it’s more than just another music video, but an open love letter to all types of relationships, and how they work within the 21st century.

“Calgary’s song and video are both about two people from different continents that fall in love, but are faced with the reality of ending the relationship when one of them has to return home.” Walwin explains.
