TITLE: FEVER DAYDREAM
Fever Daydream is nothing short of brilliant. Imagine Prince playing in a back-alley bar in the futuristic world of Blade Runner. This is The Black Queen. You can feel the influence of these shared childhood exposures and the calmly contained beauty of them within the music. The tracks Ice To Never and Maybe We Should show an elegance, strength and range both of which are done in a reserved and measured fashion which in many ways describes the album as a whole. And to think this was written in an empty warehouse in L.A. in this decade is incredible. Fever Daydream is the perfect pick-me-up.
